Sunday Morning Worship at 10.30 am

CHurch building

Downton Baptist Church has a long history of worship. Over the years we have sought to provide a place where we can come to meet Jesus Christ and where we can share His love and God's word with others.

We have groups available for young people.  Please click this link to discover more about the times and programme.
Some weeks will share around the Lords Table together.  There are opportunities to pray.

Services are usually followed by refreshments.  Please do come and introduce yourself.

We have a loop system for those who need it.  We collect an offering, which is situated at the rear of the Sanctuary.  The service is recorded and is available later.

Our prayer team offer the opportunity for private prayer at the end of each service.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello to Downton Baptist Church

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When?

We meet at our Church in South Lane, Downton, for our Sunday Service starting at 10.30 am. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team and Duty Stewards.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits following our service.. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There is a disabled toilets.

Our Service

The Sunday Morning Worship service begins at 10.30 am with a warm welcome.
During the service there will be a time of sung worship, led by our band.  There will then follow readings from the bible and a talk about what we have heard.  There will be times of prayer.
Please ask if this is new for you and would like some support.

We are pleased to say we have a programme for our young people and everyone is welcome.

Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service for the welcome, songs and notices. We really value worshipping God all together as a family. At an appropriate moment,  the young people will be asked to go their various groups.  You will need to go with your children to their groups and register them as part of our child safety policy.

Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.
